On Saturday, we got off the bus at about 3:30, unpacked, and headed out to eat. We went to a place called "Cafe Eden," which is owned by a girl from Washington. Possibly the best chicken strips I've ever eaten. And they had homemade ranch dressing!! I'll be going there again. Later that night there was an open-mic night, which a lot of the volunteers from around the country had come to watch. There were a few volunteers who performed, and even our country director and her wife and kids popped in to watch. Later, we headed back to the hotel, and spent the rest of the evening just lounging and chatting on the roof, overlooking the Battambang skyline.
The next morning we found some breakfast, at a small, artsy café, where we spent a few hours being Internet drones,
and then went back to the hotel for a nice, long swim in the hot sunshine.
